Bonnie Kissam, M.A. in Physical Education) reacquaints the golfer with
her or his optimal mind/body coordination. She takes you step by step
through a new way of understanding efficient action. You learn that by
relaxing your breathing, minimizing your motions and 'seeing' yourself
in the action of swinging, you can become a stronger, more consistent
golfer.
The Effortless Swing approach uses four of the basic, revolutionary Awareness Through Movement® lessons created by bodymind pioneer -- Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais and adapts them specifically for the golfer. You will learn to slow down and develop the self-perception necessary to fine-tune your swing. This in turn develops and maintains the flexibility necessary as we age.
Bonnie Kissam has a Masters Degree in physical education and has
been a Feldenkrais® Practitioner since 1983, studying
with Dr. Feldenkrais himself in his last years of teaching. In the Effortless
Swing® approach for optimal golf, Bonnie takes you OUT of the
swing and helps you see/sense clearly HOW you perform your actions. Your
ability to swing and meet the ball with more efficiency, consistency and
power evolves.
The Effortless Swing approach can help anyone - no matter what age or physical limitation to improve their ability to move and play an easier game of golf. Bonnie guides people to experience a more optimal, natural coordination. This kinesthetic, internal process brings benefits that go well beyond improved movement, aiding overall physical and mental health.

Bonnie’s basic golf skills began in the late 60s from a golf curriculum class in college. She learned the technique of the swing and enjoyed the short game. It wasn’t until after her training with Dr. Moshe Feldenrkais ( link) in the 80s, that she found a full, consistent swing.er first
golf pro observed, "Golf as a series of effortless swings,
a game of consistency, a game of inches and a game of the mind.
The Effortless Swing® approach is NOT a HOW TO Swing a golf
club teaching lesson. IT is a process that requires participation -- although
quiet and meditative. These movement/awareness lessons help focus attention
on skeletal movements, patterns of action and, the creation of new possibilities.
Golfers learn to establish a feel for lightness and ease as
they improve their timing, balance and alignment.
